47.2 MAC Count Commands
Use MAC count commands to limit how many MAC addresses may be dynamically learned.
MAC count commands are listed next. When the MAC filter accept mode is enabled (see
Section 47.1 on page 295), the IES-612-51 ignores the MAC count setting and accepts all of
the MAC addresses listed for the port in the MAC filter settings.
47.2.1 MAC Count Show Command Example
The following example displays the MAC count settings for xDSL port 4.

The following example turns on the MAC count filter on xDSL port 4.

switch mac count show [portlist] Displays the MAC count settings on the
specified xDSL port(s) or on all xDSL
ports if no port is specified.

switch mac count enable <portlist> Enables the MAC count filter on the
specified xDSL port(s). When the MAC
filter accept mode is enabled (see
Section 47.1 on page 295), the IES-612-
51 ignores the MAC count setting and
accepts all of the MAC addresses listed
for the port in the MAC filter settings.

switch mac count disable <portlist> Disables the MAC filtering feature on the
specified xDSL port(s).

switch mac flush Clears learned MAC addresses from the
forwarding table.

addresses may be dynamically learned
on the specified xDSL port(s).
count: The valid range is from “1” to
“128”.
