SNMP Commands
This chapter covers commands for configuring the IES-612-51’s Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) settings.
53.1 SNMP Commands
The following table describes common required values in SNMP commands. Other values are
discussed with the corresponding commands.
The following is a list of the SNMP commands.

sys snmp getcommunity
<community>
Sets the password for the incoming Get- and GetNext- requests
from the management station.

sys snmp setcommunity
<community>
Sets the password for the incoming Set- requests from the
management station.

sys snmp trustedhost <ip-
address>
Specifies the IP address a trusted host.
If you enter a specific IP address, the IES-612-51 will only respond
to SNMP messages from this address. You can use the sys
client set command to specify additional IP addresses, if
necessary. See Section 31.1 on page 215 for more information
about this command.
If you specify 0.0.0.0, the IES-612-51 responds to all SNMP
messages it receives, regardless of the settings for the sys
client set command.

sys snmp trapcommunity
<community>
Sets the password sent with each trap to the SNMP manager. H/H
sys snmp trapdst set <index>
<ip-address> [<port>]
Specifies the IP address (and port number) of a trap server to
which the IES-612-51 sends SNMP traps. If you leave the trap
destination set to 0.0.0.0 (default), the IES-612-51 will not send
any SNMP traps.
index: The number of the trap server (1~4).
port: The port number upon which the trap server listens for
SNMP traps. The IES-612-51 uses the default of 162 if you do not
specify a trap port.
