7.2 Changes in the system groups of the
EP server and HDB server groups
For installations with a low number of islands, we recommend that, after each
modification to the configuration of the EP server and/or the HDB server, the system be
ended with a ‘cold’ stop and then re-started with a ‘cold’ start.
For installations with a high number of islands, proceed as follows:-
• Using the ‘De-activate’ button from the ‘Connections’ dialog box, de-activate
the addresses of the island(s) affected by the changes.
• The changes are then made in the EP server and/or in the HDB server.
• Close the novaPro32 program with a ‘cold’ stop.
There are two ways of re-starting:-
• Either with a ‘warm’ start and by manually activating each of the islands that
have been changed (using the ‘Activate’ button from the ‘Connections’ dialog
box).
• Or with an automatic ‘cold’ start of all connections.
