7-2 Static Route
Table 7-1 Static Route Setup
LABEL DESCRIPTION
Active This field displays whether the route is turned on (Yes) or not (No).
Name This field displays the descriptive (maximum 10 alphanumeric characters) name for this
route. This is for identification purposes only.
Destination
Address
This field displays the IP network address of the final destination.
Subnet Mask This field displays the subnet mask for this destination.
Gateway
Address
This field displays the IP address of the gateway. The gateway is an immediate neighbor of
your line card that will forward the packet to the destination.
Metric This field displays the cost of transmission for routing purposes. IP routing uses hop count as
the measurement of cost, with a minimum of 0 for directly connected networks.
7.2.1 Edit Static Route Screen
Click Static Route Setup in the navigation panel and then a static route index number in the Static Route screen
to open this screen.
Use this menu to configure a static route.
